Communication

Communication is the process of exchanging information, ideas, and emotions between individuals or groups through various means, such as speaking, writing, or non-verbal cues. It involves not only conveying messages clearly and effectively but also actively listening and understanding the perspectives of others. Effective communication ensures that all parties involved are on the same page, fosters strong relationships, and facilitates collaboration and problem-solving. It is a fundamental skill for building trust, resolving conflicts, and achieving mutual goals.

I had a chance to work in United Arab Emirates in 2008 to 2012 as the Sampath Bank Marketing representative in UAE Exchange Ltd. I had to do is that to canvass savings accounts and non-resident foreign currency accounts and fixed deposit of any currencies which acceptable by the bank to all Sri Lankans who are living in UAE. So, I could open more than 2500 accounts and more than 1Bn worth of fixed deposits. All I did with my communication skills.
